PIRAN TROPHY AS PART OF THE AFT GRAND TOUR
Being included in the AFT GRAND TOUR adds further competitive significance to Piran Trophy. In this system, teams compete not only for medals and trophies, but also for valuable points that affect their position in the AFT RANKING standings.

Success in Piran is therefore important for the top teams in the context of the wider season and when comparing results across AFT tournaments.

This year’s Piran Trophy was divided into five competition weekends. The program began with the Radenci Trophy U13 tournament, continued with the U9, U10 and U11 categories in Piran, and concluded with the U12 competition.

This format brought different generations of young footballers into the spotlight, each with their own stories, heroes and sporting achievements.

For the teams that achieved top results in Piran, the points earned are an important addition to their sporting success. For all participants, however, it is even more valuable that they had the chance to compete against peers from different backgrounds, discover new styles of football and gain experiences that will stay with them at future tournaments.

FOOTBALL, FRIENDSHIP AND UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS BY THE SEA
As the tournament came to a close, Piran once again showed that children’s football goes beyond the boundaries of the pitch and the final score. The fields were full of determination, great moves, decisive saves and celebrations after goals.

Every match brought a new story, from tense finishes to the heartfelt celebrations of young footballers whose performances thrilled coaches, parents and other supporters.

The atmosphere around the pitches was just as special. Cheers from the stands, parents’ pride, mutual respect between teams and the children’s joy created an environment where sport brings people together and builds new friendships.

Moments like these give international tournaments their special value, allowing children to develop not only their football skills but also their confidence, team spirit and respect for their opponents.

The Piran Trophy U12 tournament brought five consecutive weekends of youth football organized by F10 Sports Agency to a close. Congratulations to Fußballschule Coach 13 on winning the title, to all the medalists on their excellent results, and to the individual award winners on their outstanding performances.

Thanks also go to all the participating teams, coaches, parents and organizers who contributed to the tournament’s successful delivery.

Piran Trophy 2026 once again confirmed that the greatest value of children’s football lies in its young players, their passion for the game and the experiences they gain as they develop.

The trophies and medals will remain wonderful keepsakes, while the friendships and football stories from Piran will stay with the young players long after the final whistle.
