AFT NORTH MACEDONIA: AFTER THE THIRD WEEK OF OCTOBER

Naslovna slika AFT Ranking AFT Severna Makedonija
A week ago, we witnessed how WEST BALKAN CHILDRENS CUP (abbreviated: WBC CUP) „shook up“ the rankings in North Macedonia, but, as after every storm – a lull follows. We didn’t record a single tournament this weekend, so the tables „stayed still“.

So today we decided to take a slightly different approach to the age groups.

GENERATION 2014
As we already pointed out, there have been no changes in the standings of the 28 teams featured in this age group’s table, so the top five places look like this:

1. EUROSPORT, Kumanovo
2. YOUNG TEAM, Struga
3. (two teams share third place) BELASICA, Strumica and ARSIMI, Gostivar
4. (two teams share fifth place) BIDŽO, Kumanovo and BUTEL 2017, Skopje

Since there were no changes, we did a little research into the medals won and noticed that only 2 teams have reached the winners’ podium at more than one tournament.

They are YOUNG TEAM (which won medals at WBC CUP and the Ohrid-based FER PLEJ) and FK TIKVEŠ (which won its two bronze medals at FELER KUP and MOBELIX).

We also found it interesting that FC ALBION (with one third-place finish at EUROMILK CUP) is as low as twentieth in our table.

On the other hand, there are many teams that haven’t reached the top three places at tournaments, but whose good performances have earned them enough AFT points to rank highly.

Of course, everyone is happy to win an award, but these figures show us that consistently good performances are just as important.

Do a little exploring yourselves and tell us what interesting things you’ve discovered at this LINK.

GENERATION 2015
Of course, there were no changes to the top 5 places in the table here either:

1. (two teams share the very top spot) BOREC JUNIOR, Veles and PARK CITY, Skopje
2. FORCA, Skopje
3. (three teams share fourth place) EVROFUDBAL, Ohrid; YOUNG TEAM and FK PELISTER, Bitola

Still, we found a few „interesting things“ here too, related to how the medals are distributed among the teams.

For example, FC COOL from Skopje has won 2 medals (champions of COOL CUP and third place at KOLONIJA KUP), but currently sits in 11th place.

Similarly, sharing 16th place in the table is FK BUTEL 2017, which also won its 2 medals at those same tournaments.

From 12th to 16th place, we also have several teams that have won medals, so if this interests you, take a look HERE to see the table featuring 31 teams.

GENERATION 2016
Normally, we’d say: „Here’s how the top five teams look after this weekend“, but the table is the same as last week, so we’ll simply present the standings:

1. AF ALEXANDRO, Skopje
2. ULTRAS KIDS, Struga
3. ŠF GROZDANOSKI, Skopje
4. YOUNG TEAM, Struga
5. FORCA, Skopje

Among the 26 teams in this age group’s table, it’s interesting to note that EUROSPORT from Kumanovo has won two medals at tournaments outside North Macedonia (namely, at KUP GRAČANICE and the MEĐUNARODNI TURNIR PRIJATELJSTVA in Paraćin) – yet it sits in 12th place in the rankings.

On the other hand, the table leader, AF ALEXANDRO, has won a medal at every tournament it has entered – 1 gold at EUROMILK CUP and 3 silver medals at ILINDEN CUP, COOL CUP and the GRAND PRIX tournament in Mali Lošinj, Croatia.

You can find many more interesting details at this LINK, so we’ll leave you to „explore“ while we move on.

GENERATION 2017
The table is unchanged, and at the top are:

1. YOUNG TEAM
2. AERODROM, Skopje
3. AZZURI KIDS, Radoviš
4. FORCA, Skopje
5. EDEN NA EDEN, Mogila

Among the 35 teams that have earned AFT points, it’s worth mentioning FC COOL (in 23rd place), which won silver at KOLONIJA KUP, as well as FK VODNO from Skopje, which is in 21st place – despite having a bronze medal from EUROMILK CUP.

FK VARDAR won silver at the same tournament, but shares 17th place with FK NEGOTINO, whose „silver“ medal came from FELER KUP.

FC MARADONA from Štip won two bronze medals (at FELER and TROFEJ TRAJAN KULJA CRNOBUKI), but that was only enough for 11th place.

YOUNG TEAM is the only team with 2 „gold“ medals (from WBC CUP and EUROSPORT CUP), and it also has a „bronze“ from FER PLEJ.

But it’s time for you to „roll up your sleeves“ too, take a look at THIS LINK and find out which other teams have won medals, at which tournaments and in what colors.

GENERATION 2018
A total of 25 teams have earned AFT points in this age group, and it’s interesting that EUROSPORT has a bronze medal here too (from GRAČANICA KUP), but sits as low as 22nd place.

Like this team, FC MARADONA from Štip and FC SHKUPI from Skopje each have one bronze medal (the former from FELER, the latter from COOL CUP), but share 15th place.

Only FK VODNO from Skopje (gold at FER PLEJ and silver at EUROMILK CUP) and FK FORCA (gold at COOL CUP and bronze at EUROMILK CUP) have two medals each.

We’ll also take a look at the top five teams:

1. VODNO, Skopje
2. MONDANO, Skopje
3. FER PLEJ, Ohrid
4. FORCA, Skopje
5. PARTIZAN FUDBAL KIDS, Skopje

We’re sure you can find more teams worth mentioning as medal winners at THIS LINK, but we’ll leave that to you – so you’ll have something to brag about among your friends.

GENERATION 2019
We won’t repeat why the table positions haven’t changed; instead, we’ll present the top five teams:

1. EUROSPORT, Kumanovo
2. YOUNG TEAM, Struga
3. NEGOTINO
4. BIDŽO, Kumanovo
5. PARTIZAN FUDBAL KIDS, Skopje

Although this ranking includes 24 teams, it’s interesting that the top three have each won 2 medals (something we didn’t find as an example in any of the other age groups).

EUROSPORT won the championship title at ILINDEN, and came second at its own cup in Kumanovo. YOUNG TEAM took second place at WBC CUP and third at EUROSPORT CUP.

FK NEGOTINO won two tournaments – EUROSPORT and FELER, but that was enough for only third place in the table.

We also found FK PERAK from Prilep interesting: winning silver at FELER KUP brought it a share of 11th place. Find a team you’d like to follow at THIS LINK.

GENERATION 2020
Everything about this age group interests us, because these are the youngest players, who have captured our hearts the most, but we don’t have much to write about.

No team has earned AFT points, and we haven’t recorded any tournaments for this age group either.

Never mind, their time is still to come, and we’ll be writing about them in the future. For now, let them keep training, playing and enjoying football!
