AFT SERBIA: AFTER THE THIRD OCTOBER WEEKEND

Naslovna slika AFT Ranking AFT Srbija
Numerous tournaments were probably held in Serbia over the weekend, but we only found out about the 2nd edition of the TOURNAMENT OF THE GIANTS OF BEGEČ and the 4th CHAMPIONS CUP in Velika Drenova.

If you know of any other tournaments, feel free to contact us so we can add them to our calendar too. But let’s see whether, and how much, the generation rankings have changed:

2020 GENERATION
Since there were no tournaments for children of this age group over the past weekend, we’ll allow ourselves to be cheeky and simply “repeat” what we wrote last week:

“There are currently 20 teams in this generation that have earned AFT points. There were no tournaments featuring children from this age group over the past week, so the standings remain unchanged.

The top 5 teams are:
1.    MERIDIANA, Novi Sad
2.    JEDINSTVO, Rumenka
3.    VOŠINI KLINCI, Novi Sad
4.    FK SRBOBRAN
5.    AKADEMIJA BAMBI, Zrenjanin”

But so it doesn’t look like we have nothing to write about, we’ll add a couple of interesting facts. Only three of the 20 registered teams have 3 medals each: first-placed MERIDIANA from Novi Sad; fifth-placed AKADEMIJA BAMBI from Zrenjanin; and eleventh-placed ŠF PRIMERA, also from Novi Sad.

2019 GENERATION
There were no changes at the top of this generation’s table:
1.    MERIDIANA
2.    COERVER AF, Novi Pazar
3.    FK POLET, Karavukovo
4.    (three teams tied on points) CRVENA ZVEZDA, FK SPARTAK, Subotica, and FK NOVI PAZAR

However, thanks to the tournament in Begeč, we have three debutants in this generation’s rankings.

They are: FK SRBOBRAN (which won the TOURNAMENT OF THE GIANTS OF BEGEČ), NS CITY (which finished second in that tournament), and FK ISKRA from Kucura, which finished third in Begeč.

These three teams have brought our ranking to exactly 90 registered teams, which makes us especially happy.
We’ll leave it to you to find their positions in the generation rankings, which you can do via this LINK

2018 GENERATION
If we limited this report to the top 20 teams in this age group, we’d finish quickly. Even faster if we mentioned only these five at the top of the table:
1.    VOJVODINA
2.    MLADI VUKOVI, Kikinda
3.    CRVENA ZVEZDA
4.    VUK, Paraćin
5.    FK RADNIČKI, Valjevo

But that’s not how we are. We like seeing new names appear in the rankings, so we’ll do our best to list them all.

The number of 129 registered teams in this generation was reached over the weekend by: FK GUČA, FK BRAZILSKE KARIOKE, Velika Drenova, FK HERCEGOVAC, Gajdobra, FK BAČKA, Begeč, VUKOVI, Brus, and ORLIĆI, Aleksandrovac.

We should also mention that FK SRBOBRAN, by winning the tournament in Begeč, climbed an impressive 31 places and now shares 29th position with other teams.

It’s getting harder to find your favorite team, so take a good look at THIS LINK to make it easier.

2017 GENERATION
There are no changes in this generation either—not just in the top 5 or 10, but even among the top 40 teams. And yet it’s becoming more and more interesting, because the generation now includes 127 teams that have earned AFT points this season.

So, the top 5 teams by AFT points earned remain:
1.    CRVENA ZVEZDA
2.    (two teams share this position) VOJVODINA and FA SPARKS KMF, Novi Pazar
3.    (two teams also share this position) PARTIZAN and MLADI VUKOVI

Now let us introduce the teams that made their debut in the standings after this weekend. They are: MEBIT, Počekovina, FK BUDUĆNOST, Gložane, FK GUČA, FK TRSTENIK, and ŠF PRIMERA, Novi Sad.

In addition, FK ISKRA from Kucura and OFK DIF from Kosovska Mitrovica have moved up the table.

So even when the water’s calm on the surface, that doesn’t mean the depths aren’t hiding interesting things. After such a lovely sentence, all that remains is to invite you to follow this LINK and discover all those interesting details

2016 GENERATION
The top 5 teams in the table are still the same:
1.    CRVENA ZVEZDA
2.    VOJVODINA
3.    PARTIZAN
4.    FC DERBY, Novi Sad
5.    FK SPARTAK, Subotica

But, as with the previous two generations, we’ve noted some changes here too. The debutant is JEDINSTVO PROSOCCER from Kruševac, and we’d like to welcome them on behalf of the AFT team.

One team—ŠF KALČO from Varvarin—climbed 20 places after the tournament in Velika Drenova, while ORLIĆI from Aleksandrovac used that same tournament to climb 9 places and move into a tie for 12th position.

We have to move on, and you’re welcome to check all 132 teams at THIS LINK and let us know when you find yours.

2015 GENERATION
The generation of children under 12 has 113 teams in its rankings. Over the past weekend, they were inactive—at least as far as tournaments are concerned.

We’re sure these teams played league matches and trained hard, but we didn’t record a single tournament. Let us know if you know of one.

So the top five remain unchanged, with the same order as last week:
1.    PARTIZAN
2.    ČUKARIČKI
3.    VOJVODINA
4.    COERVER AF, Novi Pazar
5.    OFK SENJAK, Valjevo

That gave us time to look for some interesting facts about medals won, and here’s what we found: OFK SENJAK from Valjevo has three gold medals from tournaments this season.

FK KOLUBARA 1919 and FK LAZAREVAC, both from Lazarevac, have 3 medals each, and the difference between them is just one AFT point.

If you’re interested in this Lazarevac “showdown,” or anything else about the teams in this age group, feel free to use your free time to check this LINK and satisfy your curiosity.

2014 GENERATION
Eighty teams in the rankings for the oldest generation in the AFT system this season is certainly a nice number, but we think there could be more.

That is, there could be more tournaments featuring boys who are just about to become under-15 players (in football terms).

We say this because there were no tournaments last week, and no one earned new points or won any new medals.

The top five teams held on to their positions this week, so there are no changes at the top:
1.    PARTIZAN
2.    ČUKARIČKI
3.    CRVENA ZVEZDA
4.    APOLON 4, Kragujevac
5.    VOJVODINA

Looking at the number of medals won, it’s interesting to note that ALEGRIA from Bački Petrovac has 2 gold medals and sits in sixth place.

MLADOST from Gornja Rogatica has 3 medals and is in thirteenth place, while in 37th position is VOJA GAČIĆ from Pančevo, which also has 3 medals.

So anyone who wants to and has the time can learn much more at THIS LINK, and then share what they’ve learned with others.
