2014 GENERATIONA lot has changed in this generation’s rankings, starting with the number of teams on the list, which now stands at 50, and extending to the top five, which look like this:
1.
HNK HAJDUK, Split
2. (this position is shared by 2 teams)
NK KUSTOŠIJA and
NK SESVETE (both from Zagreb)
3.
NK ISTRA, Pula
4.
NK LOKOMOTIVA, Zagreb
The team from Split finished second at the FIRST STEPS tournament, but thanks to that, they are now first in the rankings. NK SESVETE from Zagreb made its debut in our rankings with a bronze medal from Split, which even earned them a share of second place.
Their neighbor in that position, NK KUSTOŠIJA, also brought a good number of AFT points back to Zagreb from Split, so both teams are now ahead of NK ISTRA.
The fourth team in the rankings, NK LOKOMOTIVA from Zagreb, also climbed to its position thanks to results achieved in Split, so we could conclude that the teams from Zagreb were the biggest beneficiaries of the tournament in Split.

2015 GENERATION
There are 14 teams in this age group, but the indicators remain relentless. They show no changes, with all the teams taking a break from tournaments last weekend.
Perhaps they are right, or perhaps you are now quite justifiably angry with us because of them. In any case, the top five in this generation’s rankings look like this:
1.
NK LOKOMOTIVA, Zagreb
2.
NK ADRIATIC, Split
3.
GNK DINAMO, Zagreb
4.
HNK HAJDUK, Split
5. (this position is shared by as many as 3 teams)
NK RIJEKA,
NK ISTRA, Pula and
NK RUDEŠ, Zagreb
All the teams listed above, except NK RIJEKA, owe their current positions to the FIRST STEPS tournament. NK LOKOMOTIVA won the tournament, NK ADRIATIC finished third, and GNK DINAMO second.
HAJDUK also earned a number of points, while NK ISTRA and NK RUDEŠ, after good performances over the weekend, made their debut in our rankings and immediately found themselves sharing fifth place.
So, there are now 18 teams in total in this generation’s rankings, and there have been many changes among those with the most points. You can check whether the other teams were active over the weekend at
THIS LINK.
2016 GENERATIONThe FIRST STEPS tournament brought major changes in this generation too. First of all, the number of teams in our rankings increased, and there are now as many as 80.
One of the new teams in the rankings is NK MAKSIMIR, which climbed all the way to tenth place thanks to its results. HAJDUK is at the top of this generation’s rankings, just as it deservedly won first place in Split.
NK ABECEDA from Murvica is now in second place, having won the bronze medal at the tournament in Split.
NK ADRIATIC, the tournament organizer, NK PRIMORAC from Stobreč, and NK OMLADINAC from Vranjic also made sure that a large number of points won at the FIRST STEPS tournament stayed in Dalmatia.
Thanks to those results, all three teams made it into the top ten in this generation.
So, the current top five teams in the 2016 generation look like this:
1.
HNK HAJDUK2.
NK ABECEDA, Murvica
3.
GNK DINAMO4.
NK RIJEKA and
NK ZAGOREC, Krapina (sharing fourth place)

2017 GENERATIONFirst, let’s look at the top five teams in this generation, and then we’ll explain everything that changed after last weekend:
1.
HNK HAJDUK2.
GNK DINAMO3.
NK VARAŽDIN4.
NK USKOK, Klis
5.
NK MAKSIMIR, Zagreb
Compared with last week, HAJDUK and DINAMO have swapped places. The team from Split finished second at the FIRST STEPS tournament, but thanks to that, they are now first in the rankings. NK MAKSIMIR followed their example, climbing to fifth place in the rankings after competing in Split.
As many as five teams made their debut in the rankings thanks to their appearances at the tournament in Split. The biggest climbs were made by
NK GOŠK from Kaštela and
NK ORKAN from Dugi Rat, who now share eleventh place.
Thanks to these new names, this generation’s rankings now include 40 teams in total.
Other teams also earned points at the FIRST STEPS tournament, improving their positions or making it onto the AFT rankings for the first time. We’ll leave discovering them to your investigative spirit. You can find them all at
THIS LINK.
2018 GENERATIONIf someone who doesn’t follow our reports looked only at the top of the rankings, they would see the following standings:
1.
GNK DINAMO2.
HNK HAJDUK3.
HNK GORICA, Velika Gorica
4.
NK TREŠNJEVKA, Zagreb
5.
NK LOKOMOTIVA, Zagreb
However, the experienced eye of those who regularly follow our reports would notice a significant difference in the number of points between the two leading teams.
After the FIRST STEPS tournament, GNK DINAMO has added a gold medal and 150 AFT points to its tally, while HNK HAJDUK, which finished the tournament in third place, earned 80 points.
NK ADRIATIC, the competition organizer, also improved its position after the tournament in Split and now sits in eighth place in our rankings.
We also noticed something interesting: NK TREŠNJEVKA, with as many as four gold medals won, is in fourth place. Let’s wish them a fifth gold by the end of October, but not fifth place!
Whether they succeed or one of the remaining 78 teams achieves a notable result, follow along at
THIS LINK.
2019 GENERATIONThe teams of boys in this age group did not compete in any tournaments last weekend—or at least we don’t know of any such appearances.

NK UTRINA, Zagreb
3.
NK KUSTOŠIJA, Zagreb
4.
NK TREŠNJEVKA, Zagreb;

2020 GENERATIONSince this generation includes only 11 teams that have earned AFT points so far, it’s perfectly logical that almost half of them are among the top five.

1.
NK STUDENTSKI GRAD, Zagreb
2.
NK MAKSIMIR, Zagreb
3.
ŠN PODSLJEME, Zagreb
4.
LUMEN, Varaždin
5.
NK OLIMP, Zaprešić and
