The tournament was founded and is primarily organized by
Marko Jokić, who oversees the entire sporting and technical organization of the competition.
From one edition a year to twoFor a long time, the tournament was a spring event. The autumn edition was held for the first time in September 2023. Since then, the Chin Chin Cup has been played twice a year, with the edition numbers progressing across both events.
Thus, the 17th edition was held from September 26 to 28, 2025, the 18th in April 2026, and the 19th from September 25 to 27, 2026.
From a regional to a European tournamentThe difference is clear when you compare the tournament’s past with its present. A report from 2017 mentions a tournament featuring around 30 clubs and football schools from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.
The spring 2026 edition was one of the biggest yet: it brought together more than 2,000 young footballers from over 200 teams representing 12 European countries, with matches played simultaneously on 11 pitches.
At the autumn edition of the tournament in 2026, 144 teams from 13 countries took part:
Serbia, Romania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey, Moldova, and Russia. In total, more than 1,500 children participated in the tournament.
Host and partnersMatches are played on the pitches at Hotel Palisad, beside Zlatibor Lake, a traditional partner of the tournament. For international teams, the Young Talents Group platform also helps with logistics, transfers, and accommodation, making the tournament more accessible to clubs from across Europe.
What it looks like todayThe 19th edition featured age groups from 2014 to 2019, with both boys and girls taking part. The older age groups (2014 and 2015) played 8+1 on 60x40-metre pitches, while the younger groups (2016–2019) played 6+1 on 50x30-metre pitches.
Each team was guaranteed 4 to 5 matches, played in two 12-minute halves. Accommodation was arranged in Zlatibor hotels and apartment complexes, with two overnight stays for participants.
Thanks to this format and atmosphere, the tournament has become a regular fixture on the calendar for many clubs and football schools.

Part of the AFT systemThe Chin Chin Cup is part of the
AFT MASTERS TOUR, meaning teams earn AFT points that affect their position in the
AFT rankings. For many clubs, this is an added reason to come to Zlatibor.
The 20th anniversary Chin Chin Cup: April 15–18, 2027The next chapter of the story is already scheduled. The 20th Chin Chin Cup will be held in Zlatibor from April 15 to 18, 2027, for age groups from 2014 to 2019, in 6+1 and 8+1 formats, with 4 to 5 teams per group and matches of two 12-minute halves.
The organizers have announced that the goal for the anniversary edition is to attract a record number of participating countries and raise the standard of the hotel and logistics packages for teams. They also plan to attract more teams from Central and Western Europe.
The Chin Chin Cup is no longer just a tournament held on a single date, but a tradition that brings clubs from across the region back to the golden mountain twice a year. And when the anniversary arrives, Zlatibor will once again be a place where football is played and friendships are made.
