And that is certainly nicer than the same topic at the beginning of each school year. So, let’s explore together how things stand today on the AFT “traffic light” of your country.   


NORTH MACEDONIA – EVERY CHILDREN'S TEAM IS A YOUNG TEAM

As we have already written, in North Macedonia, our rankings by generations feature a really large number of club and football school names.

Also, the point difference among them is not large and their position changes every week “up” or “down”. But if we had to highlight just one team that has achieved a remarkable result so far, we would have to mention FC YOUNG TEAM from Struga.

In most generations, they are currently among the top five ranked teams and they deserve congratulations for that.

Of course, they are not alone in this case, and we believe that in the coming weeks and months, until the end of this season, we will highlight many more names – especially since we are already looking forward to the weekend ILINDEN CUP, which has the status of AFT ELITE TOUR, so it is realistic to expect changes in the generation rankings.

MONTENEGRO – “I WILL FIND THE STAR OF HAPPINESS, HERE ARE MY DREAMS, THIS IS MY CITY...”

As soon as tomorrow, the best young teams from Montenegro, as well as the region – will gather in Podgorica. The reason is more than clear – everyone wants to carry the champion title and win the PODGORICA TROPHY.

This tournament, ranked as AFT GRAND TOUR, will bring many AFT points to the most successful teams and will affect the AFT rankings of several countries, especially Montenegro.

So, roll up your sleeves and pant legs, arm yourselves with sports and fighting spirit, and show us your football skills, kids!


We will follow all your good results and display them at THIS LINK as soon as they reach us. For now, take a look at the current standings of teams by generations.   


SLOVENIA – “...GOD IS CHEERING FOR YOU, WE WILL CONQUER THE WORLD...”

We still receive the least data about tournaments and team successes from Slovenia. We hardly have anything to write about, and we know that excellent football is played under the Alps and that children there enjoy all the joys of this sport.

That’s why we invite you to provide us with information about tournaments if we happen to miss any, and help us have as many teams and as many “entries” as possible at THIS LINK.

The only team we could currently highlight is NK OLIMPIJA, which has recorded AFT points in three generations. We congratulate them on that and hope that other Slovenian teams will soon follow their example.   

 

CROATIA – TUROPOLJCI AT THE TOP OF GENERATION 2018

In Croatia, there is currently the least “activity” in the 2015 and 2019 generations. If we are not mistaken, it seems there are no tournaments for those age groups here.

Please convince us otherwise and send us news if we are wrong, but until then we can follow the standings of teams in the remaining 5 age groups. And they are quite interesting.

Of course, the top positions are usually held by the largest and most well-known Croatian clubs, but the others are not far behind in competitiveness and the desire to showcase all their football skills and fighting spirit. Proof of this is the team HNK GORICA, which dominates in the 2018 generation.

We keep our fingers crossed for them to continue like this, and until then, both you and we can cheer for our favorite clubs and follow their standings at THIS LINK 

 

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA – “PLAY BOSNIA, LIKE NEVER BEFORE...”

If we started listing which teams are on the AFT rankings in BiH, it would take longer than when the “Dugmići” perform “I dreamed last night that I don’t have you” at their concerts.

So, we won’t deal with that. But we will certainly say that the children’s football “scene” in all parts of BiH is perhaps the most active in the region. A large number of tournaments and a large number of participants guarantee very interesting football weekends from Cazin to Višegrad and from Trebinje to Bijeljina.

Teams from BiH are also active in all neighboring countries, so the experience gained by teams from this region is truly impressive. We wish them to continue like this, but to keep in mind that “Who plays for the crowd and neglects tactics...”

SERBIA – “WHEN I CAN REACH AND ESCAPE...”

If we look at the number of tournaments in which teams from Serbia participate, both “domestic” and those in neighboring countries, as well as the number of teams that “arrive from all sides,” then the verses from the song “Starina Novak and Prince Bogosav” are quite appropriate to describe what is currently happening on the football fields across Serbia (and the region).

In Serbia, in all age groups we follow, at least a few tournaments have been played, so data about team standings is constantly coming in. There are so many that sometimes we don’t manage to input them all on time, so we ask tournament organizers to help us with that and send “reports” on completed tournaments as soon as possible, so we can relay them as quickly and accurately as possible.

The weekend behind us brought a plethora of points from many tournaments, but it didn’t change much of what we talked about last time – in the younger age groups (2020, 2019, 2018), “less known” teams from various places across Serbia mostly dominate.

The 2017 generation is still “breaking through,” but all older generations (2014, 2015, 2016) place the most famous football teams from Belgrade and Novi Sad at the top.

This time, we will highlight the teams MLADI VUKOVI from Kikinda who are excellent in the 2017 and 2018 generations, as well as FK MERIDIANA from Novi Sad, which dominates in the 2019 and 2020 generations.

Finally, we leave one question – where is “Zvezda” in U12?
